Personalization and adaptive learning
“We have made progress in the evolution of e-learning tools and digital strategy within the learning techniques” (Sophie Maladri, Digital Learning Manager at KPMG). Successful learning experiences tend to be those that have been created for the needs and goals of the target audience. This is why it is important to rethink the analysis of the needs for a better alignment between the business problems and solutions brought by the training department.
Digital learning and e-learning are trending right now, but how is it linked to neurosciences? Digitalization is notably associated with the development of "gamified" tools, such as those that stimulate the reward pathway in the brain. The activation of these structures is accompanied by a feeling of satisfaction that motivates the trainee. Guillaume Coppin, CEO of XOS, says that “today, the best method to train your team is digital learning in which several pedagogic tools will be mixed”
Video and “immersive learning”
They have major advantages in training and communication. To be efficient, the videos need to be short (“learners have an average 10 min attention span” says Guillaume Coppin) or cut into shorter units. “The modern learner is fast, very connected, mobile and full of distractions” insists Sally Ann Moore, an elearning expert and organizer of the iLearning Forum.
It must be put back in the center of the learning process via a top-down approach. This will use the predicted results to create a concrete process to improve performance.
Collaborative “serious games”, whether played in the same room or remotely, are really useful to train learners. The training session adapts itself to the needs of the learner, and to the decisions of the other participants and trainers. Thanks to gamification, it becomes easier to understand the digital services that transform our society as well as the new connected generation of customers and workers.

Learning by doing
This learning technique makes the worker the key to any problem he has to face, with access to the right tools and the other talents of the company. «Learning by doing» has many perks: multidisciplinarity, mutual support, innovation… It turns the workplace into an experimentation place for everybody and enhances flexibility inside the company. Creating, making mistakes, watching and finding, learning and trying again are key steps in this learning theory.

With these platforms, a learner can access the specific content of their training remotely and at any time on their computer, tablet or mobile device. This accessible side facilitates the regular repetition over the long term of this content (during and after training), which is essential to a lasting memorization.
